Immersive Korea Travel Content — 2nd Award
An award-winning train-window travel experience using 3D parallax and an exhibition-ready infinite presentation loop.
Project Context
Tramscape to Korea is an immersive travel-content project built around a train-window metaphor.
- The content presents Korean tourist locations as if the viewer is watching them through a train window.
- It adapts a 3D parallax display approach so a normal 2D display can feel closer to a depth-aware window.
- The project was built for the 2024 Immersive Korea Travelling Contents Contest held by Korea Tourism Organization.
My Role & Implementation
I served as project leader and worked on the Unity-side content flow and visual presentation.
- Implemented the GameManager flow controlling the simulation sequence, including scene transitions and fade effects.
- Built an infinite-loop transition system so the content could run continuously as exhibition-style immersive media.
- Worked on Unity HDRP visual polish, adjusting lighting, post-processing, bloom, shadow properties, field of view, and atmosphere to create a presentation-ready travel environment.
Result
The project produced a 2nd Award-winning immersive travel-content demo.
- Won 2nd Award in the 2024 Immersive Korea Travelling Contents Contest held by Korea Tourism Organization.
- Produced a train-window-style immersive content demo using 3D parallax as the main viewing concept.
- Continued the team’s earlier 3D Parallax Body Tracking direction into a tourism-content application.
