Simulation / Digital Twin Developer

FunctionBay division later became MetaMotion X, and the work continued on the same defense-linked Unity simulation project.

  • Extended and refactored the Unity simulation replay/logging system, covering replay playback/recording flow, replay UI behavior, event-state tracking, and log storage/extraction logic while replacing hard-coded log handling with a class-based structure, typed log categories, and common interface-level access.
  • Improved runtime traceability for multi-PC simulation runs by addressing log-missing, duplicate-recording, file I/O, and extraction issues around replay/event data.
  • Implemented adjacent simulation features, including Unity Netcode synchronization, route/path visualization, client-side 2D/3D UI, and a UE5 physics-based virtual-camera demo framework.
  • Supported software-engineering delivery through STD writing, unit testing, bug reproduction, fix verification, and Redmine-based issue tracking.

  • Built a Node.js / Express backend for an FPGA-based mining-hardware prototype, structuring API logic around route, controller, and service layers.
  • Connected backend API calls to a C UART control process so server-side requests could trigger low-level hardware register read/write operations.
  • Implemented and tested the C-side command loop, including UART routing, command/response formatting, and backend-hardware integration debugging.

  • Operated UNIX servers for a military C4I intranet, handling security checks, log audits, backups, access control, and system troubleshooting.
  • Managed user-terminal access and help-desk requests across internal military units.
  • Supported routine network and infrastructure checks involving routers, switches, terminals, and internal systems under command procedures.
